PERMANENT MAKEUP APPLICATION BY HAND When I first began doing permanent makeup in 1992, I applied it with a tattoo machine, which is the method used by most permanent makeup artists. In 1996 I became aware of the hand method of applying permanent makeup and learned this technique. At first I thought that I would do it both ways, depending on the situation. But my clients and I were so pleased with the gentleness and results of the hand method that since 1997 it's the only technique I use.
Permanent makeup applied by hand is soft and natural looking; it's an enhancement. At Advanced Cosmetic Techniques, I don't believe that most women want to wake up every morning looking like Cleopatra in full make-up. Women want to wake up giving the impression that they just naturally look good! The hand method of applying permanent makeup allows me to achieve any look you want, from extremely natural to very dramatic. Another benefit of the hand method is that it is much gentler. Because of that and also the specially compounded numbing creams that I use, most women experience minimal discomfort. "I have always believed that anything you can do to make yourself look and feel better is well worth it. After all, it's not whether you win or lose -- it's how you look when you're playing the game! |
PERMANENT Eyebrows done by hand with permanent makeup look like natural perfect eyebrows, not like eyebrow pencil. First I sit down with you and we choose a color together. I can then apply the color with a Q-tip and show you how it will look before we begin the procedure. Then, I numb the area with a topical anesthetic, and use an eyebrow pencil to draw in the shape of the eyebrow so you can see just how it will look. You may then make changes if need be, (for instance you might decide that you like the eyebrow a little thicker, or thinner, or extended out a little further.) When we get the exact shape you want, I will follow that outline exactly with the color you chose. There's no guessing involved in the way I do permanent makeup. You know before we start what color and what shape your eyebrows are going to be. Permanent eyeliner is placed in your eyelashes, making them appear thicker and accentuating your eyes. I can make it very subtle, so that it looks like you have a lot more eyelashes, or I can make it look like actual eyeliner. Your eyes remain closed throughout the procedure. You have the choice of several shades such as...brown, black-brown, black, charcoal, or even the more exotic colors like green, navy or teal! |
PERMANENT LIP When I do a permanent lip enhancement, I can do more than just line the lips like many permanent makeup artists do. I can line the lips and also add color to the entire lip, so you get both definition and soft color. It doesn't look like lipstick; it looks like your lips are just the prettiest color, well defined and beautifully shaped. Of course, you can choose a brighter color if you want more of a lipstick look. First I sit down with you and we choose a color. I have a lot of gorgeous, natural looking lip colors. As with the eyebrows, I can put the color on you with a Q-tip so you can see how it looks. Then, after numbing the lips with a topical anesthetic I take a lipliner pencil and draw the shape of your lips. There are a lot of things we can do with lips -- you can keep the shape they are, correct any asymmetry, or make them look a little fuller. Once I get the shape you want, I will follow that outline exactly with the color you chose. The way that I apply permanent makeup, you don't have to be worried about how it will look because you know before we start what color and what shape your lips will be. So, whether you choose to just line your lips or fill them in as well, your lips will be beautiful, soft and flawless, every moment of every day! |
