As a trained Permanent Make-Up artist, Laura Sherwood brings with her years of experience in the beauty field. Laura Sherwood began doing permanent make-up in 1992. She founded Advanced Cosmetic Techniques in 1997 and since then has worked full time as a permanent make-up artist. Her knowledge and creative ability are apparent by her skill in applying permanent make-up. Laura's clients come from all over Florida, as well as other states. Advanced Cosmetic Techniques is a member in good standing of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. The permanent make-up hand tools are sterilized, pre-packaged and disposable. An allergy test is performed on each client before application of the make-up, although Laura has never had a client react negatively to the mineral based pigments she uses. She is physician supervised, as required by the State of Florida. ~ Perfection and Professionalism ~ At Advanced Cosmetic Techniques, Laura Sherwood uses only the hand (manual) method of creating permanent make-up. With this technique, a special cosmetic pigment is placed just below the surface of the skin by using a gentle etching motion.
